Summaries On Discretionary

This whole term we have been learning about healthy food choices and maintaining a balanced diet. As well as my balanced diet argument we have been told to create two summaries concluding what I have learnt and yeah. These are my summaries below. they will show you pretty much what I have learned in two whole paragraphs.

Why Is Integrity Important?

I've been learning about integrity. It is really important in your nature. Integrity is important because God knows... It shows loyalty and honesty within another, you develop your character. You don't be a deictful person, god can see all, even when you think your alone. Everyone will stand before him to give an account. You have to be trustworthy in your relationships and your businesses. Even non-christians show integrity. Us christians have be integrous towards God and the Holy Spirit. And because I am learning about this, I have written a short essay about Queen Esther, Job and Noah.

Reflection Of 2020

I have written like 5 paragraphs summarizing what I did during 2020. I didn't know whether to write an introduction because I'm just going to say everything that is on my reflection so... yeah! Good days!

My Self Assessment Results

This post is linked to the post below. This post is my self-assessment, more like my success criteria, that I have worked on for my Argument. I have ticked off whether I am confident, neutral, or not yet there in my argument. So far I am confident in all areas and working on emotive/persuasive language.

My Cool As Balanced Diet Argument

In my class, I have been learning about my healthy choices. I have written my own persuasive argument about having a balanced diet. I have used sophisticated punctuation and advanced vocabulary as I should at Stages 5-6. I have also written about disagreeing to eat whenever you want, whenever you want, however you want. I have also tried self-assessing my individual writing. It would've already been posted but yeah!

Pataua Panic

This week I had made a moment in time about the day in Pataua, Whangarei. We had an amazing time and I had swum with dolphins by coincidence. It was yet again a crazy experience with whanau and friends.  I have been learning about the stages and I needed to work on stage 6. I realized I need to work on structural features and punctuation marks like colons, semi-colon, dashes and hyphens.

Softball

This year was my first year participating in Softball. For my first year, I say I did pretty good. I only went to training because I couldn't make it to games. The season is still going but I decided to drop-out because I have too many sports going on during school I can't make the after-schools. I had an experience I haven't felt in a long time. Although I dropped out I had fun, and it will be forever in my memory. I have family and friends playing in Softball but I just had to let them go😂😂 I love Softball, and I love my family!

Tournament Reflections

This not, but not all just from this term, we have experienced major challenges. Not all from learning and education, but also from sports. Our sports throughout this year have been challenges that God has put before us. Therefore, leaving us having to thrive through those challenges. I love sports as much as anyone. All throughout July-September was netball and league. Summer sports like touch, rippa rugby, beach volleyball, softball, and many more have come to my agenda. I'd like to thank Komene Marino, Whaea Michelle Tito-Brown, Whaea Matekino Rakete, and Whaea Lana Geisbers for putting me in the right body shape to shine and succeed through these events. Special thanks to Matua Komene! He doesn't get paid, he volunteers and yes, he does get hard on us but look where that has gotten us too. I just learned how to play volleyball and softball this year, but we won all our games in volleyball and haven't started on our softball games yet.  Me and my best friend, Kuini had an amazing experience in Kensington playing Badminton. There is a post about all of these sports except Softball, which I will get to soon.

Kensington Badminton Tournament

Yesterday Kuini and I went off to a badminton tournament in Kensington with the Year 9-10. This was an outstanding experience since we haven't played in almost a year! It started off casual, you know like I did lose the first single set, which was a real challenge. My team was Tiakina, Amoron, Kuini, and I. Tiakina and Amoron were one double team, and Kuini and I were the other. In the double, we won 13-19. In our other single it was 17-21 to Huanui and in the doubles, it was 20-21 to them. I mean for a whole year without practice I say we did pretty darn good! It wasn't just us cheering on the sideline though, Jesus was there supporting us every way possible.

Labour Day

Thsi week I was supposed to be learning about our annual Labour Day. I couldn't get it finished because I was too busy at Kesington playing Badminton. Down below shows my google drawing I created about two minutes ago show you all the information about Labour Day. I hope you enjoy because I did😂

Rippa Rugby

Today we had a rippa rugby tournament at the K.R.F.C here in Kaikohe. We learned how to do set plays, such as Johnny, B Johnny, and Johnny C. We did extremely well. Komene Marino (again) and Matua Te Rangi Allen helped out the classes of year 5-8. I had so much fun! Komene only trained us for around one week straight and because of that, we won all 4 of our games! I made a new friend, actually! His name is Kyro. He was our opposition but I had a mean laugh with him... We also did a relay race and we came second overall, in the relay, again! We versed both K.I.S teams, Kaikohe West and Kaikohe East. It was really nice to compete against anyone but COVID-19... We cheered for JESUS, prayed for JESUS, and declared JESUS throughout the day.

Volleyball Tournaments

This Thursday we had a volleyball tournament in Whangarei, which was surprisingly fun. The girl's volleyball team went down with Whaea Matekino Rakete. We lost to Te Kapehu Whetu, but winning is just the bonus! We prayed before and after all games and because of that, we succeeded. Training makes perfect is the motto I think😂 Anyways I'd like this very, very special moment thank Matua Komene Marino, Whaea Michelle Tito-Brown, Whaea Matekino Rakete, and Whaea Lana Geisbers for taking the time to each us and prepare for our amazing performance🌺 I take my hats off to our competitors and opposition for giving us the opportunity to actually play😅 Mahina, Kuini, Hilda-Jean, Fern, Atlanta, Taylah and I went down and declared the name of JESUS, and because of that we came 2nd overall!! Komene trained us ready up for a whole 3 out of 4 games won! Thank you Jesus for Komene!

The Mitosis Process

This week, as the last week of school, we have been working on our cell projects. These projects include cells, germs, the immune system, the inside of cells, and many more. I personally think that we could've done better, but we had fun, seeming as we were disorganized. Below shows all of the photos that our amazing photographer, Mahina Cooper-Payne, took of Kuini, Tawa, and I. Our project was about Mitosis. Mitosis is about the male sperm and female egg combine, blah blah blah blah blah, enjoy!🤷😅

Pahiketepaoro.. rehekoooo!!!

Here is a report writing that I have been focusing my learning on for the past couple of weeks. I am developing my skill in using complex compound sentences and using them efficiently. I wrote my report on Basketball, one of the many sports I play. I have found the additional information and adverb starters easy because I have already done it without even knowing it. I have also found simple sentences easy as well. Welp, I've already told you every little bit you need to know, so you can read it for urself. Enjoy😂

Basketball

Around July 2020, Kaikohe Christian School entered the Basketball Games.

A lot of first-years had joined the team, with Komene Marino and Rangatira Tito-Brown

as the coaches. It was a mixed team, meaning it was combined with different genders and

ages. They had the games in the Northland College Gym. Several games went on from

4-7pm with different local schools.

The first game, Kaikohe Christian School versed the Kaikohe Rugby Club (an all-boys

team).Though they lost by little they had an amazing experience.

Te Ataahua Rakete-Henry states, ¨We did well, we didn't back out, we tried our hardest

and we did it for Jesus!¨ There was a fair amount of people subbing on and off whilst the

game was in play.  The first-ever game was not the last for Kaikohe Christian School…

Mahina Cooper-Payne and Ocian Caville suggest they try their hardest in the next game

and have extra training.

Rangatira started off with the basic training drills such as Mirror, Three-Man Weave,

Boxing Out, and many more. A member of the school team thought it was somewhat

difficult. This particular player has been put on most quarters and every game the school

has played. She has been on every game because she has turned up to all practices. She

has not had as much training for a first-year but has had a blast during it all. ¨ Training

has been complicated because I have the instincts of an average netball player, but I am

learning, and I will do so until I master it¨ she says.

K.C.S has made set plays. Set plays are planned attack and defense strategies.

They are used to confuse and distract the opposition team whilst the other team scores

points. They are also used to make sure the opposition doesn't score.  The Christian

School uses these set plays. There are screeners, decoys, and the main player. The main

player is the one with the ball most of the time.  The screeners block the main player's

defender, so the main player can give it to one of the decoys. This all ends with a layup

point, and all starts off with a simple hand gesture.

As a summary, this report has stated that K.C.S has started off with a load of first-years

and has done pretty well; considering the amount of loss. I have also informed everyone

reading that they have had pretty harty training that has been focused on set plays. Set

plays as in planned strategies, planned attacks, and planned defense play.

Mixed Operation With Parentheses

All throughout the start of semester 2, we have been learning about parentheses. It explains it all in the slides below. And yes, I did publish this at home because I was too busy being competitive outside and playing sports. But, that is beside the point though, I did this in my spare time and did it as fast as I could. If it doesn't make sense just comment down below😂

Enjoy😊

My Mean As Maths Poster😂

Just this week we have me and a couple of class-mates have learned how to convert improper fractions to proper fractions. Afterward, you convert the proper fraction into a decimal and then you round that decimal into a one decimal place.

You´ll find everything else out in the poster so good luck trying to understand it

😅

A Tragic One In A 500 Year Flood...

All last week and this week we have been researching and discussing the flood that happened in Mid-July... I am learning to use factual information and maybe direct quotes in this report. It was recently changed from a draft to a published written report. It was difficult at first because of how much I didn't know. Now that I think of it, I could've just done personal experiences.  This flood damages and caused major impact on all of Northland. I don´t want to give away too much detail so just read it down below😊
